Encountering Some Errors

Last week, I finally got around to updating WordPress. While the link that had been showing on the top of my screen for the last several months indicated I could automatically update, it turned out this wasn’t the case. Last week was the first time I had the opportunity to take the time to manually update.

The process took me several tries and many errors before I finally had the latest version of WordPress up and running. I judged this by the fact that my home page appeared, instead of saying “server not found.” Success!

Experimentation with CSS

The last time I looked at CSS, tables were still (more or less) an acceptable way of doing things. When I learned HTML, everyone was using frames.

For a while now I’ve been wanting to re-learn CSS. Using WordPress themes was an excellent way to get my website off the ground, but I know I’m capable of designing a personalized and user-friendly website of my own. Plus, knowledge of CSS seems like a useful thing to have.
